Citizen and National Security

TechFOr 2012: Rome 16th/19th May

TechFOr - Italy’s International Exhibition on Technologies for Security aims at creating a unique debate among public bodies and security professionals on the question of citizens’ protection and territorial security.

Citizens’ security, safeguarding the territory, fighting organized crime, a total commitment to the rule of law: these are themes at the very top of the political agenda of central and local government.

Best International practice shows that the implementation of effective policies aimed at crime prevention represents the most effective means of guaranteeing citizens’ security.

It is therefore clear that all the actors, involved in crime prevention (Ministries, Law Enforcement Agencies, the Armed Forces, Civil Protection, the Regions, Provinces, Municipalities, Local Police forces, Volunteer Associations, Companies…) can bring about, through the use of innovative organizational processes and operational technologies the development of a unique strategy of intervention and control across the territory .

This requires a joint effort to develop, via an appropriate forum, ideas, projects and scenarios designed to manage the challenges arising from, for example, social and urban change, increasing migratory flows, major conflicts, as well as the increasing technological sophistication of criminals at every level.

TechFOr, in collaboration with the Arma dei Carabinieri, has received the patronage of the Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri and AFCEA, the Armed Forces for Communication and Electronic Association.
